This easy little walk starts in the capital town of the Trossachs - Callander. Begin your walk at the Callander meadows car park at the west end of Main Street. Follow the riverside path upstream - and feed the ducks if you have a bit of bird food on you. Stay on the path beside the river all the way round until you come to another path at a T junction where you turn right to lead you back to the car park. Of course if you like being by the water you can always return the way you came. There is plenty wildlife to seee on this short walk and log benches to rest your legs of just to relax and soak in the quiet. Your might notice the ancient burial place of the Clan Buchanan on the opposite bank where the two rivers meet. The circular track encloses a natural watermeadow with a selection of bog plants in natural habitat. A couple of shalllow pools offer a home to frogs, dragonflies and other water wildlife.
